The marriage

Yesterday was a day to celebrate. I was invited to to a matrimony. In fact, I myself was the executor of this marriage. The marriage between my friend the Blue Lord and his second love, the 1.7 QV boxer engine (he's a widower of his his first boxerette 1.3 engine).
It was a hectic day. Just before teh celebration began I had to fetch some special ingredients for the party, such as 1 litre gearbox lubricant to add to the 1,4 litre there alreay was. After putting the lubricant in the gearbox now all was easy to approach, we needed some courage. The Blue Lord is unyieldingly cool. But she, the rather nervous QV-boxerette and bride of the party insisted to have some additional exercise and lifting. So I had to move her to and fro the garagefloor, before she was ready. Kinda preparty dance.
After everything was set, the celebration was to start and I needed all the muscle (two jacks) and brain (pulling and pushing the car precisely over the attachement point of the engine) I had, to get the two parties together.

After all, the two are united now in a happy manner. Now the arrangements have to be made to settle the duo and get them ona a good way connected. For many miles to come, till death does part.

Before the party started I put a guardian at the lower end of our lengthy drive.

The matrimony is to begin. Alas there was no photographer to make pictures
of the actual wedding celebration (hey, it still is a low budget enterprise)

The nervous QV-boxerette is under the Blue Lord ... (?) and Jack 1 is in position.
(What's that supposed to say?)
While pumping up the engine evenly mind the distributor not to touch the attachment of the engine.

After the wedding the couple had some quality time in my garage.

Some guests couldn't stand the excitement and parted spontaniously.
(the departed Flemish 1.3 engine and her remaining gearbox)

Someone interested in a set of cilinder heads, camshafts, a set of Webers 40IDF 78/79?
Just mail me at tulipwoodracer (at)gmail.com.

Now, after the celebration I hoped my garage will be clean and spacious again. Only the couple decided to house here for a while, till the settlements will be over.

Petrol, E-power and stabilizer are to be mounted this week. Remember this film (can't get enough of it):
