Carburettor

Well the job's done, the carburettors are clean as a whistle. The package I ordered by Di Michele is empty. Almost. Two tiny rings left over. But then again the package wasn't really compatible for the 68/69 weber 40 IDF. The gaskets didn't fit , they were to small for closing the cap over the main body of the carb. I had to cut 1 mm off on the inside.
While working my way through the petrol powerstations of my beloved Alfa, I smoothed the inside of the carburettocap. Some raw and fine grinding and the opening to the venturi had nog sudden drops in the wall.

repair kit came by mail from Germany

Working around on the kitchen table, cleaning, grinding, blowing and fitting.
The dentist tool I once got form a nice 'tandartsassistente' was very handy.

The other carb was easier.

My works around the engine are expanding. My plan was to clean the carbs, later the distribution was added to the list, now the clutch is added too. Some sensible repairs now the engine lies in my garage.

And after work, relaxation is needed. Here Pip is watching my swing on the golf course. She's got a pritty good swing herself  too.
