I found my old 33-logo in the cellar, where I keep my spare parts. Looking for the lever cover of the Alfa, I stumbled upon this rather beat up 33 1,7 QV-sign. I want to put it on the Bleu Lord, but I'm afraid it'll be a good catch for logohunters. On the other hand it's a rareseen sign these days, so I think it must be replaced on the rear end.
How to restore it is what I'm going to find out the coming winter weeks. It's a nice logo and gives the car the honour it deserves (although it isn't really a QV, but in essence all Alfa's are Quadrifoglio Verdes, ain't it?).

The 3's come off the aluminium strip. On that alu strip lies a plastic strip. Between those two strips the 1.7 sign and the clover leaf is kind of printed. The plastic strip misses the right corner. The alu strip is corroded. |
This is going to be a challenge. Nice winter job to add to my
to do list form november 9th:
For getting on the road these jobs must be done first:
- Reload the battery, add new petrol for real starting power. done
- Make the real first attempt to start the engine! done, but the engine did'nt run very smoothly. I have to bring it to a specialist to adjust the carburettors.
- Replace the front brake calipers and ventilated brake discs
- Add brake flued also for the clutch. Adjusting the systems.
- Respray the little grill part. done
- Make an appointment at the RDW to arrange all the paperwork for the taxes and registration (it's still a Belgian car)
Since my Bleu Lord was outside for a few weeks in the rain, I saw some imperfections:
- Fix the rear bumper so it won't keep any water to the body panel
- fix the right tail light: water is coming in. done
- fix the left tail window: water is coming in there too
