Youngtimer Event

Today we went to Ulft in the beautiful province of Gelderland to visit the annual Yountimer Event. The event is taking place in hte former DRU-factory, a making place of cast iron cooking pans. The factory has been restored and cleared for events and cultural activities for the region. The landscape architecture is fresh and very suitable for an automobile meeting.
As member of the Yageo civil initiative I also was looking for some references for our own former Yageo/ Philips factory in my town.

A cigar box

Hot damned! The rubber brake cylinder rings for the front brakes are expensive as hell. I checked with Bosman, my main partsman and it turned out to be 33 euro for just one set. I ment this resoration to be a low budget operation, but this is not funny. Even the core plugs are expensive: 20 pounds ex shipping. That's all together about 100 euros for e few parts not more than a box of cigars.

So the handsome little Fiat will be our transportation for a while longer.
